Burn City Burn is an independent record label established by former One Dollar Short front-man Scotte Woods in 2005. Burn City Burn was created to bring back a sense of community to local music; the idea of the community record store - a place for artists to release their music while maintaining full creative control and artistic integrity.
With current artists such as Chasing Ghosts, Paper Wolves and Sparrows, the Burn City Burn catalogue spans a wide variety of music from soulful acoustic to catchy pop to hard-hitting rock. An extensive back catalogue also includes releases from Edward, Town Hall Steps, Chris Byrne, Game On and A Silent Fiction.
Based on the Central Coast, NSW, Burn City Burn hosts an impressive studio for recording, as well as live rehearsal space for signed bands. Artists also have access to an in-house design team for merchandise, branding and album covers.
With Chasing Ghosts' debut album, "Confessions From A Phone Booth" releasing nationally through MGM, as well as online through BCB and iTunes, 2011 has been a successful year for Burn City Burn with the album making fantastic sales and receiving glowing reviews.
The "Earlybird" EP by Paper Wolves has also just released after a solid stream of pre-orders and pre-release sales, pushing them into the international spotlight with overseas licensing offers.
With Sparrows going into pre-production for their vinyl EP release, 2012 also looks to be a promising year for Burn City Burn.
